Purchase cannot be confirmed
In Pro settings, use Recheck purchase. Check the Microsoft Store account and connection. Existing notes remain viewable and exportable when editing access is restricted.
Back up before moving devices
Export data from the app. A Pro workspace backup includes imported images, but linked documents and folders still need their original files and usable paths.
Moving from Free to Pro
They are separate apps and versions. Pro offers manual import for supported old data files; do not assume automatic shared storage or a live connection between both apps.
Tell us what happened
Email the app version, Windows version and the steps that caused the problem. Screenshots help; remove private content and file paths that are not needed. We do not send diagnostic reports automatically from this website.
A few things worth knowing.
Is the free version a timed trial?
No. Use SmileNote Free as the way to try the everyday experience. It has its own feature set; installing it does not unlock Pro.
Can I use it offline?
Everyday notes and organization are local. Pro installation and purchase-license checks or recovery may need Microsoft Store access. External AI may require internet access.
Does Pro include an AI subscription?
No. Pro provides a local MCP connection to a separately configured compatible agent. Any external AI subscription or usage charges are separate.
Will a reminder work when the PC is off?
No. The app must be running and Windows must be able to notify you. It is not a background cloud reminder service.
Are linked files copied into a project?
No. Document, audio and folder cards link to the original location. Moving or deleting the original can break that link. Imported images are stored with the workspace.
